Job Description:
We are looking for a Guest Service and Front Desk Manager to join our dynamic team and provide an exceptional guest experience. As the front desk manager of our hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding service to our guests and efficiently managing the front desk operations, especially during the 4:00 p.m. to 00:00 shift. Although this schedule is regular, some flexibility is expected to cover occasional variations.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in hospitality and customer service, excellent communication skills and an ability to solve problems efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- To offer high-quality customer service by responding to customer requests and needs with professionalism and courtesy.
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, facilitate their check-in and check-out in an efficient manner.
- Manage bookings and check availability, ensuring accuracy of information and integration of any special requests for a tailor-made experience.
- Resolve customer problems and complaints, handling difficult situations with calm and professionalism.
- Oversee reception operations by coordinating between internal services and transmitting essential information to day staff.
- Coordinate maintenance and cleaning service requests, ensuring customer satisfaction and comfort.
- Use hotel management software for the management of reservations, invoicing and other reception operations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear information and answering their questions.
- Maintain a rigorous organization to ensure an efficient workflow at the front desk and a smooth experience for customers.
- Demonstrate flexibility and resistance to stress to handle dynamic situations and last-minute changes calmly and effectively.
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality and customer service (mandatory).
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (fluency in other languages would be a considerable asset).
- Developed sense of customer service, with an ability to solve problems in a professional and courteous manner.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (an asset).
- Organizational skills and ability to effectively manage guest bookings, arrivals and departures.
- Training in hospitality or tourism (an asset).
- Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Sense of initiative and proactivity to anticipate customer needs and improve the customer experience.
- Canadian permanent resident status required to apply for this position.

Remuneration:
Between $21.00 and $23.00/hour, depending on experience.
